Portable Gain Draw Measurement System

The Portable Gain Measurement System, PDI-1000, is used to accurately measure the speed differential (draw or gain) between two driven rollers to 0.01%. The system is unparalleled in accuracy for this type of portable measurement. It can be used to verify the tracking accuracy of servo driven rolls and to locate problems with drive system slippage or variation on both mechanical and servo driven rolls.

If you have a complex web press and often or occasionally have tension problems that are difficult to identify this is the tool you need. It takes the guess work out of determining whether your servo driven roll is working correctly.

The system includes digital indicator, cables, two encoders, clamps for temporary encoder mounting, instructions and a carrying case.

Inkjet Imaging Tower

The Inkjet imaging tower shown is a 2 rail system with integrated drying, servo driven chill rolls and auto carriage shifting which tracks the edge of the web to maintain the lateral image position without a web guide.

It is designed to support Kodak Versamark DS6240, 4.27" print heads at up to 1000 FPM. This tower can be configured as a 2 or 4 rail system and with or without integrated chills.

Individual lateral head positioning is accomplished using stepper drives with position storage/recall capability for fast repeat job setup.

The sliding carriage assembly which supports the print heads for operation and servicing is a modular design that can be combined with additional carriages to create a 4 or 6 rail system. It can be adapted to older platen style Kodak towers or configured in any custom arrangement to suit your specific installation and needs.
